Are anti-wrinkle injections right for you?
Anti-wrinkle injections can turn back time and reverse wrinkles caused by natural ageing or sun exposure. They can smooth dynamic wrinkles, which appear when you smile or frown, as well as static lines, which are always present.
Areas we can target include the forehead, between the eyebrows, around the eyes, mouth and jawline. We can treat multiple areas in one session or build up your results over time.
Anti-wrinkle injections can achieve incredible results and even prevent static lines from forming. If you have deep lines or wrinkles, we might suggest combining anti-wrinkle injections with dermal fillers for the best result.
How do they work?
We use Azzalure products, which contain Botulinum Toxin (the same active ingredient found in the brand Botox).
Botulinum Toxin is a purified protein that’s undergone extensive testing for efficacy and safety. In the hands of an experienced doctor, anti-wrinkle injections are very safe.
Gabriela will use a very thin needle to minimise any discomfort. You shouldn’t find the procedure painful, and there’s no downtime, although some patients experience mild bruising.
You’ll see your lines reducing 2–3 days after your treatment, and they’ll continue to improve over the next two weeks. At this point, we’ll invite you back to the practice for a review to see if you need a complimentary top-up.
Your results should last around three months, sometimes longer, depending on the area we’re treating. If you have regular treatments, you’ll find you need less product or longer intervals between sessions to maintain your results.
