What is DentalMonitoring?
DentalMonitoring allows our patients to upload regular photos of their teeth via an app for our orthodontists to review. Because the app is AI-powered, we are able to record and react to the subtle changes in your teeth day-to-day and keep your transformation on track.
How does it work?
It’s simple. We provide you with a ScanBox and access to the DentalMonitoring app. The ScanBox makes it easy for you to take clear and consistent photos of your teeth each week. You then upload them to the DentalMonitoring app so that the AI-powered software can track any changes and create a personalised report.
Your specialist orthodontist will also review the images and make sure everything is progressing as planned. We’ll send you feedback via the app and, if necessary, schedule a digital or in-person appointment so we can discuss your progress.
What are the benefits?
There are many benefits to using the app to track your progress. An important one for our busy patients is that by providing a weekly photo update, we can schedule fewer in-person appointments.

If we do start to notice that things aren’t progressing as we planned, we can react quickly to get your treatment back on track, avoiding any delays to your treatment. Sometimes, we can even anticipate challenges before they become a problem.
The app will send you reminder notifications when it’s time to take your latest photo, and once you’ve gotten the hang of it, submitting it should only take a couple of minutes. It’s 100% secure, so the photos you upload will always remain private, and you can even generate a fun time-lapse to show how far you’ve come.
